A great way to improve your French outside of class hours. During your homestay with your French host, you will have many opportunities to practice your French, whether sharing meals or activities. You’ll benefit from a complete French language immersion experience, learning about French culture and civilization as well as getting an inside look at the lifestyle of a French family.
Hosting In French
You will have your own comfortable single room or double room if you come with a friend or partner. Many families live close to an easy French language school, either within walking distance or a short bus or tramway ride.

All our families are very carefully selected, their homes are inspected and they are accepted by placing them on our quality charts. We selected host families based on the quality of their accommodation, their friendliness, their welcoming qualities and their location to the school.
We continuously monitor the performance of our French families through quality questionnaires from alumni and additional visits if necessary. Most host families have been working with us to receive international students for many years and are therefore very experienced.
All homestay placements are done by our in-house accommodation department to ensure the highest match rate to make your stay memorable. The transfer of our students to their host family is the result of a careful study of each application where our team considers each student profile to ensure that the host and student are a good match for each other.
Contracts are signed with all families to make sure everything runs smoothly during your stay. Our accommodation officers will be available on site to assist you or answer any questions you may have.

Room only formula and breakfast only are for more independent students. With the Room Only formula, you will have access to the family kitchen and can cook your own meals. For the breakfast-only option, you take your meal out of the house except for the supplied breakfast.
For real integration into French family lifestyle, spending time with your hosts and gaining a deeper insight into daily French customs, we recommend the half board option. You’ll enjoy dinner together and spend more time with your host practicing your French in a real-life environment.
After booking with us you will receive a questionnaire for the homestay in which you can tell about your needs, habits, wishes, past allergies, hobbies etc. This questionnaire will help our Housing Officer to select the best homestay for you. You will get all the information about your host 3 weeks before arrival. Pick-up and drop-off service is arranged by the host at Montpellier airport or train station, free of charge.
